I have tried Quilter with several design, simple ones, and there even simpler one, but the resoults are aweful! Look here
With yellow is market diff pair begin and end. This board is 100% routable, all components are pre-placed with known good routing.
I am writing a book where I also talk about AI, and well I talk there about Quilter also, but I do have to show this screenshot and say it is nonsense what quilter does, unusable!
1.2 BETA made much better routing, looks ugly but is routed and would work also…
Hi Antti,
We appreciate the feedback on your experience with Quilter. That diff pair is certainly much longer than it needs to be. This is generally caused by the order the traces are routed on a given Quilter job. Quilter does not currently support bus routing, so groups of diff pairs can cause these types of results. In this case I would recommend prerouting the most critical diff pairs and allow Quilter to handle the remaining routing. We are constantly working to improve our capabilities (as you can see with the beta router), and feedback like this helps point us in the right direction. If you are interested I’d be happy to help troubleshoot further if you could email me at justin@quilter.ai with your job URL.
Thanks again for your feedback and for using Quilter,
Justin - Quilter
