Component too big to place

Hello there,

I have a simple PCB design just for testing out your software. In the first trial unfortunately there was no candidate which succeeded with a single side layout and for this test this would be the most important constraint.

I tried to change my KiCAD files with a placement region but from there on there was always an error in the job, that there is a component which is too big to place within the board area. I`ve tried many different solution with moving the preplaced components etc. but nothing worked. I admit, my PCB design and KiCAD skills are fundamental but maybe there is an easy explanation for my problem?
